How to Change Blade on Miter Saw in 6 Simple Steps?

Step 1:

The first thing that you need to do is take off the spindle cover. For this, you need to rotate the saws blade guard to its top position and remove the front screw holding the spindle cover. Now, allow the spindle cover to drop on the back screw and drop out of your way.

Step 2:

Now, you need to remove the older blade from the miter saw. For this, press the spindle lock to lock the spindle in its place and at the same time, remove the bolt holding it together. Now remove the bolt and the attached washer as well as the blade from the miter saw.

Step 3:

Now, clean the insides thoroughly looking out for any debris or gunk that might block or ruin the blade or might prevent it from fitting in perfectly.

Step 4:

From here, you need to do the exact opposite of removing the blade. Use the direction arrows printed on the blade to set the blade in its place.

Step 5:

Now, you have to replace the bolt and the washer and tighten it while pressing the spindle lock.

Step 6:

Now, replace the spindle cover screw and at last, lower the blade guard to its original position.
